Spring equals severe weather

With the season changes, we have the potential for severe weather coming as well. We might experience freezing cold and snow one day and have a heat wave with thunder and possible tornados coming in the next day.

How well are you prepared for severe weather changes?

By prepared, I am referring to having your important paperwork, from your home inventory, extra emergency food, water, medicine, first aid kit, portable cell phone charger, pet supplies, copies of your drivers license, credit cards, and bank cards information in a secure location.

I have one room in my house that is considered to be the most secure room and I have many of those things in a water tight plastic tote and in a large secure container for access in case of an emergency.

The American Red Cross or FEMA have great emergency check lists that you could use, but I am sure you could also call your insurance agent for this kind of list as well.
