Out with the old in with the new

January might be a slow month for some of us and this makes it a great time to clean our house or office. This should not only include the physical space itself but also your electronic or cloud space.

There may be so many things we have floating around in either space we have not used for several years. When you no longer need it you can donate it or just toss it. When you do still need it find a secure and dry spot and store it. Let’s make room for new and exciting things and memories.

This would be also a great time to update and upgrade any outdated systems, procedures, equipment, marketing, or any other thing you may have. Later in the year people call this spring cleaning. I am proposing to do it earlier in the year to have time in the spring to enjoy your spring. Interior painting might also be a great project for this time of the year. Especially when the weather is cold and no one is willing to go out.

What I have done during this time is merging and scrubbing my contact lists. OMG, what a tedious job that is. I thought I could have this done within less than 2 hours. Fat chance…. this is now the second day I am working on this and I am still not done. However, I needed to get it done. I am finding a lot of

duplicate and outdate information. On the bright side, it will feel great to have an up-to-date address list because it is a much quieter time of the year which was the perfect time to accomplish that goal.
