During this week Marion County Indiana has picked up steam with their active listings. They had 418 new listings that were made available to the public compared to Hamilton County who slowed down and only had 145 properties that were made available. Compared to last week Hamilton County had a drop in new listings of over 50%. Johnson County had 82 new listings that were made available to the public which was about the same number as last week.
The average list price for Marion County was $125,117. Hamilton County had an average list price of $216,166 and Johnson County had an average list price of $177,963.
Warren Township, in Marion County, had the most new listings that were made available to the public with 64 properties followed by Washington Township with 60. Clay Township in Hamilton County had 41 new listings and right behind was Fall Creek Township with 39. Johnson County, Pleasant Township, was the hot area for new listings in that county with 30 followed by Whit River Township with 27.
All areas had homes that had accepted offers (in escrow) as well. Marion County had 238 properties that had accepted offers and are now in escrow or pending. Not far behind with 119 properties pending (in escrow) is Hamilton County. Not far behind Hamilton County is Johnson County with 45 properties in escrow.
The most closings this week took place within Marion County. 286 homes changed owners after an average total marketing time of 66 days. With a marketing time of 50 days, Hamilton County has the quickest turn on the 135 properties that changed ownership that same week. With 117 average days on the market Johnson County had 57 homes that now have a new owner.
