I realized that a lot of business is conducted under the \u201cyou scratch my back and I scratch yours\u201d and all of us constantly \u201cowe\u201d others for the rest of our lives.<\/p>\n<p>Even some networking groups have used the \u201cyou scratch my back and I scratch yours\u201d to build their own networking business with this motto and due to the high paying membership it has been good for them but not given the same in return to the members.<\/p>\n<p>To be successful you don\u2019t have to belong to a membership driven networking organization but it does not hurt to network. A Go-Giver is authentic, honest, will never judge a book by its cover, loves people, likes to share resources and information, and receptive to receiving.<\/p>\n<p>When you give you automatically you will receive, it is a natural flow of things. The difference with a go-giver is that it comes more naturally. Go-Giving is for some things they have done since they are small and for others (for most of us) it is learned. You can learn to be a Go-Giver as long as you are open to receive.<\/p>\n<p>During networking meetings you can easily recite your 60 second \u201celevator\u201d speech to anyone who is willing to listen to you, but what item of value are you bringing to the networking table and willing to give to your \u201cnetworking partner\u201d?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After again reading through the Bob Burg book \u201cThe Go-Giver\u201d the \u201c50 \/ 50 is a losing proposition\u201d line stood out to me for some reason.
