{"id":456,"date":"2013-06-14T09:00:50","date_gmt":"2013-06-14T09:00:50","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bettinasettlesrealty.com\/Blogspot\/?p=456"},"modified":"2016-06-16T17:22:34","modified_gmt":"2016-06-16T17:22:34","slug":"what-type-of-boss-are-you","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.settlesteam.com\/blogspot\/2013\/06\/14\/what-type-of-boss-are-you\/","title":{"rendered":"What type of Boss are you?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.settlesteam.com\/blogspot\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2013\/06\/newspaper.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-460\" alt=\"newspaper\" src=\"http:\/\/www.settlesteam.com\/blogspot\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2013\/06\/newspaper-300x214.jpg\" width=\"250\" height=\"178\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.settlesteam.com\/blogspot\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2013\/06\/newspaper-300x214.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.settlesteam.com\/blogspot\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2013\/06\/newspaper.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 250px) 100vw, 250px\" \/><\/a>Having been on both sides of the fence during my work career I recently stopped and contemplated about what type of boss I am.<\/p>\n<p>Reading a lot of articles from different sources I came across an article that was posted in the <a href=\"http:\/\/smallbusiness.foxbusiness.com\/index.html\">Fox Small Business Center<\/a> called <a href=\"http:\/\/smallbusiness.foxbusiness.com\/legal-hr\/2013\/05\/28\/10-things-great-bosses-do\/\">\u201c10 things great bosses do\u201d<\/a> and used their list to see where I am standing.<\/p>\n<p>The 10 trades they listed were:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Holding yourself accountable<\/li>\n<li>Don\u2019t be full of surprises<\/li>\n<li>Be prepared to fix things<\/li>\n<li>Know and have a feel for your business<\/li>\n<li>Get the job done<\/li>\n<li>Manage effectively in every direction.<\/li>\n<li>Be able to make quick and informed decisions, even when they are not popular<\/li>\n<li>Be effective not productive and stay flexible.<\/li>\n<li>Live for your job by being engaged, empowered, driven, and self-motivated<\/li>\n<li>Make sure you keep your sense of humor, have humility, empathy and learn about your own limitations and fallibility.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Looking at this list I can see I still have room for improvement on the other hand I can personally see how far I have come.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In matter to grow a business we have to be willing to grow ourselves.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Having been on both sides of the fence during my work career I recently stopped and contemplated about what type of boss I am.
