{"id":204,"date":"2012-05-24T20:19:26","date_gmt":"2012-05-24T20:19:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bettinasettlesrealty.com\/Blogspot\/?p=204"},"modified":"2016-06-16T17:21:49","modified_gmt":"2016-06-16T17:21:49","slug":"potential-client-follow-up-or-not","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.settlesteam.com\/blogspot\/2012\/05\/24\/potential-client-follow-up-or-not\/","title":{"rendered":"Potential client follow-up\u2026 or not\u2026.."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I ran across several situations that triggered me to do a little research on how businesses follow-up on their potential and current clients.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I was amazed by the numbers I found, and a bit confused on what I am looking at.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Here is a quick case study;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>100% of the referrals where given to business.<\/li>\n<li>14% of the businesses immediately took the referral and out of the 14% only<\/li>\n<li>1\/3 of the businesses attempted to contact their referrals within the first 24 hours.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>This was again a sobering reminder that only a few businesses do the majority work.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Now I have posted the question to myself. What does it take to increase the 14% to a much larger number?<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Looking for new businesses to give referrals too?<\/li>\n<li>Just not to give referrals out at all?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Not giving out referrals \u2026.that be silly\u2026\u2026this would totally goes against the personal service we as business owners offer to our clients.
