Deciding what to buy and where to live

When you have to move to an area you are not familiar with, or did not have time to explore prior to moving, our buyers agents will be a valuable resource to you.

Before you run out to look at every home on the block, it is important to narrow down your search to features and locations that are most important to you. It is best to create a list of features you cannot be without and features you would like to have.

Things to keep in mind:

  1. What style of home do you like; ranch, multilevel, contemporary, historic,
  2. What size home do you like? How many bedrooms or bathrooms?
  3. What are the features you would like to have? Separate dining room, fireplace, office, size of garage, or fenced in yard?
  4. What criteria would you like to have in a location? Easy access to interstate, shopping, schools or entertainment?
  5. Would you consider buying a home that needs updating and possible repairs, or are you only interested in a “ready to move in” home. Maybe even a new home?

Always keep in mind to be flexible and keep an open mind. No home will ever be 100% perfect.
